Aura Burditt

Artists Statement:

Aura Burditt paints primarily in acrylics on stretched canvas. Her passion is rugged and rural northern Ontario landscapes, inspired by summer trips through Algonquin and north of Lake Superior. Her love for rocks and water began in childhood, exploring nature at the family cottage in Muskoka. Aura holds a BA from University of Western Ontario, and a post-grad certificate in Restorative Justice from Simon Fraser University in BC. She has taken numerous art courses and workshops from local professional artists and continues to be inspired by the wealth of talent on display in area galleries. Aura is Chair of the London Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition, and works full time as an outreach support person for The Salvation Army Correctional & Justice Services, assisting anyone impacted by the justice system or survivors of human trafficking. For Aura, art becomes a reflection of the beauty, comfort and peace found in the natural world around us.

Aura accepts commission work to paint landscapes or pets.
