The London Community Artists annual art show is an opportunity for Londoners to meet local artists in person, view and purchase their art. This year, the show featuring 57 member artists will be at St. Anne’s Church in Byron.
A collection of 250 works will be on display that include pieces created with acrylics, oils, watercolour, ink, coloured pencil, photography, fabric, paper and mixed media. All art is original and created by the members and contains works that embrace a wide variety of artistic styles including landscapes, portraits, abstracts – something for every taste!
Each piece of artwork will be carefully considered by the show judge prior to opening night. The talented London artist, Brian Normandeau will be the show judge (https://briannormandeau.com). Brian has the difficult task to select 10 of the submitted entries to receive a “Judges Choice” award ribbon.
Formed in 2019, the London Community Artists is an art group with 75 member artists from the London, Ontario area. They range in experience from emerging artists to accomplished full-time professionals. Their work is often seen in many galleries and venues across London and Southwestern Ontario including ongoing public exhibits at Cherryhill Villiage Mall and the Convergence Centre at Western University. They also volunteer in the community by hanging their artwork at the Children’s Hospital – LHSC to help cheer families and staff.
