Artist Statement

My love of art in childhood has been revived in retirement after a busy corporate career. I started first by documenting farm scenes from my grandfather’s farm. With study, I have pursued landscapes, abstractions and portraits in oil, acrylic, watercolour and graphite. The challenge of new styles and techniques is particularly enjoyable.

I find each painting an experiment and a wonder. I am fascinated by the process of bringing the canvas to life with expressions of colour, composition and message.
