Judy Lovell

Artist Statement:

I am an abstract artist working in acrylic and mixed media. I have always done something creative throughout my life, in many different mediums, crafts, etc. I love colour and mixing colours. I love the movement of paint across the substrate. For me it is invigorating, soothing, calming, exciting, wild and gentle. I’m excited to think that some of my best days are yet to come. My inspiration comes from everyday life: a shadow across the floor, the patterns in the road, trees, flowers, a comment someone makes, a line in a book that I’ve read. These small things constantly surprise and uplift me in explorations in form, composition and colour.
